A ledge wagon with a mollycroft roof on wooden wheels. Beautiful inside with R&J F etched on the front door window. Decoratives include red rose motiffs and a wheel in the front deck scroll work.
Tong wagons are renowned for their fine carving and intricate decoration. Stove and flue fitted.

Thomas Tong established his wagon builders in Kearsley in 1850. It was to survive through five generations and into the motor age until the 1970s. He was renowned for fine carving and paintwork. The business is described in John Barker's "Romany Relics, The Wagon Album" on pp139-163.
